Nobody’s mentioned Officer Bonnie Clark (Randi Oakes) from CHiPs (and I wasn’t going to, either) - until I remembered that poster from my EARLY youth. And she posed for a bunch of other things?!?!

#80It was already said..... but when I was a kid... I always like watching Hunter.
Then when Robocop was made in 1987.... it became my favorite movie. Have no idea what I liked it. I've watched it probably well over 100+ times.Comment -

Badge #714
The back story to that is 714 is the area code of Orange County, where it was filmed.
LAPD went out of their way to assign that number to Jack Webb.
When Dragnet finished it's run on TV, LAPD retired badge #714

#88Harry Bosch another one. Big fan of Connolly and Titus Welliver does a pretty good job portraying him in the Amazon series.
Also a big fan of Wayne Jenkins who was also a real life piece of crap.
If you liked The Wire, check out We Own This City on HBO. It's sublime.Comment -

#89For sure.
Dick Wolf is a genius, without question the GOAT.
Count them, Dick Wolf has eleven (ELEVEN) prime time police dramas running currently.
All three of the FBI shows on CBS (8p-11p Tuesday's) are Dick Wolf creations.
All three Chicago's on NBC (8p-11p Wednesday's) are Dick Wolf creations.
Chicago Med, Chicago FD, Chicago PD.
Chicago PD just may be the absolute best Dick Wolf has ever produced.
All three Law and Order on NBC (8p-11p Thursday's are Dick Wolf creations.)
(The original reboot, SVU, and Organized Crime)
Funny thing about Stabler, hated his role in SVU, love his role in Organized Crime.
Same cop, weird huh?
Most crime drama fans didn't like 'Burn Notice' when it was running.
I really liked it.
I'm a Jeffrey Donovan fan (from Burn Notice) now Anderson's partner in the reboot.
At first I was luke warm at first to the L&O reboot, half way in I was (and still am) loving it.
Burn Notice was great !Comment -

#92Good thread. Are we limiting this to TV? Or do movie-cops apply, too?Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

Obviously by now you guys know I have this passion for crime dramas.
(you think?)
I thought I'd create the thread as a change of pace, it doesn't have to be exclusive to TV.
Of course Dirty Harry Callahan is at the top of most lists, mine too, but my very favorite was Popeye Doyle.
The French Connection is my favorite crime drama film of all time.
Gene Hackman as Popeye Doyle was every bit as good as Clint's Dirty Harry character.
Roy Schneider was a very underrated actor.
French Connection was an air tight solid film.
And the late great Don Ellis (famous trumpet player, and a big fan of his) wrote the musical score.Comment -

#97Great line.
Popeye and Egan chasing the drug dealer.
A cop friend of mine told me the meaning of "You ever pick your feet in Poughkeepsie"?
Detectives he told me use that line in real life interrogations to confuse the suspect.Comment -

Jim Dangle?
I've only watched Reno 911 a handful of times.
It's OK enough, the humor is spotty, hit or miss in my opinion, I do know that show has some hard core fans.
One thing I learned a long time as a kid is that taste in music, TV whatever is subjective, respect others opinions.Comment -

#103For TV, I go old school with Fish on Barney Miller.
Too bad the question wasn't for film. That all time best is Harry Hole, actually I think it is Inspector Harry Hole from the 2017 movie The Snowman. Harry is a detective in Oslo Norway. I just like the name Inspector Harry Hole sounds like a real attention to detail guy like Columbo. Probably does allot of Prostitution cases I'm guessing.Comment -
