#36Keep winning 1 in 3 parlays (at +260) and it will definitely get you the $100,000 back. Then it will get you another $100,000 on top of it.Comment -

#39You guys who are telling him to take out a loan or keep betting are fukkin pieces of shit. This guy obviously lost it and needs some good advice.
STOP FUKKIN GAMBLING!
Take that $10k and spend a couple hundred on something nice for yourself. Smoke a little weed, get a hot hooker or a massage or a vacation. Just don’t keep gambling. Take a break and realize you’re still young and have some things going for you but if you try to win it back quick you’re gonna mess up your life. Take a yoga class, practice gratitude. Buy some crypto. Just don’t keep gambling and cut your losses short, for your own good.Comment -

#46I make about 200K a year at my job BTWOriginally posted by Orbisonwell knowing that, you definitely need to stop betting large, if not altogether
the good news is that you already own a home at 33 and have a nice chunk in retirement, so you're still in a good position where you can simply learn from this and move on
best advice is to just keep working your normal day job/career and keep contributing to your 401K every paycheck and you'll be fine. your checking account will replenish itself if you do just those two things while not gambling at all
as others have said, do not touch either your retirement or equity in your home. let those things sit and work for you while you focus solely on increasing your checking account balance by living a normal life of working and saving as much as you can
So that's the other good thing but I'm still absolutely devastatedComment -

#49What's horrifying is so many things had to go against me for this to happenOriginally posted by clockwise1965You will get it back.. GL
Phoenix was up 15 points with 1:40 to go
Marquette game was nip and tuck whole way. It was a 4 pt game with 4 mins to go and they lose by 8 on a 7.5 line
I'm beyond devastated. I don't know If I should go talk to a professional counselorComment -

#55So you went from 110k cash to 10k cash. But now you're talking about depositing 50k. From what?Originally posted by EGrecuI've got about 10K in my checking account, about 180k in retirement and 200K equity in my house. I'm 33...that's it though
To gamble any more, I'd have to take out a home equity loanComment -

The issue is I'm not really in a losing streak so I can't say I'm due for a winning streak. I won 2 out of 3 on my parlay yesterday. All the other parlays were 1-1
I wish I lost them 0-2 so I could say I was due for a huge winning streakComment -

#62correct. before I became seasoned I would complain about bad beats. and then I realized your point tons of other players had the other side. we tend to ignore our good outcomes and pity ourselves during bad. last night I believe I had three winners all by less than two points. that is luck, pure and total luck.Originally posted by juicernameSo no one won on the games this guy had "bad beats" on? #66What murdered me is on all 6 parlays, I would win 1 side by 20 and the other one was either super close the whole way or I was leading the whole way and collapsed last second. Phoenix was up by as much as 23 and 15 with 1:40 to go and collapsedOriginally posted by dante1correct. before I became seasoned I would complain about bad beats. and then I realized your point tons of other players had the other side. we tend to ignore our good outcomes and pity ourselves during bad. last night I believe I had three winners all by less than two points. that is luck, pure and total luck.
