The most bizarre thing that Baldwin said was that he didn't know that the woman had been shot until 45 minutes later and that he thought that she fainted.

yes that does seem weird but it all comes down to who put the live bullet in the gun. Or mixed in with the blanks. No matter how careless Baldwin might have been or not, unless he was involved with adding a live round or knew their was a live round in the gun, then how can you fault him.

FWIW, I liked the guy:
*He did some good acting work. Several memorable roles.
*He was great on SNL. Got it just right. Was always welcome there.

His response to this event has been horrible:
1) If your lawyer tells you to be quiet, listen to him and shut your mouth.
2) I think his TV interview was terrible. That wasn't an explanation. He's just trying to present himself as innocent.
3) The paparazzi interview on the road was awful. If you can't talk, be quiet. Don't try to control the scene/facts.

Alec Baldwin and Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed have officially been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

On Tuesday, Santa Fe County District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies formally filed charges against Baldwin, 64, and Gutierrez-Reed, 25, including two counts of involuntary manslaughter. A judge will next decide whether to move the case forward after a preliminary hearing.



According to The New York Times, Robert Shilling, a special investigator for the district attorney, wrote in a probable cause statement, "This reckless deviation from known standards and practice and protocol directly caused the fatal shooting."
The First Judicial District Attorney's Office spokesperson Heather Brewer said in a press release Monday, "The District Attorney and the special prosecutor are fully focused on securing justice for Halyna Hutchins. The evidence and the facts speak for themselves."
Attorneys for Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's requests for comment on Tuesday.

Heard Gene Hackman talk about use of firearms on the set. Gene he said that he made it a practice to check the gun chamber before any scene went live.

Went on to say that a scene where he was to be "shot" in the stomach in fact had a live round (which he removed). He would have died.
