I actually agree with a lot of what he is saying. I think he's well-spoken and well-thought out. Overall a good presentation.

But he loses it with around 2:30 left in the video

He states "vaccines do not prevent transmission or virus shedding in fully vaccinated individuals" and I don't think he's entirely wrong.

But the main problem he has in arguing against the vaccines is fully acknowledges that vaccines absolutely prevent people from getting symptomatic!

He states that himself, and he's correct. They're not 100% effective but even this dude gets that point.

The main goal of vaccines is to prime the immune system so when the virus presents, the body can mount a fight and control the severity of the symptoms.

The reason vaccines can control transmission in an indirect way is that a majority of respiratory viral illnesses have the highest viral load in the throat and nose. An individual that is not symptomatic will not sneeze or cough near as much as someone that is symptomatic, and thus transmission will be reduced.

I think the vaccine works well. The main goal of any vaccine is to reduce symptoms and severity of illness. It has done that extremely well.

We went almost 6 months without seeing a single vaxxed person in our ICU. All the while, we had no less than 6 people on ventilators and ECMO during that same time, 100% non-vaxxed. This is the part that you don't see and its hard to trust what you don't see. I get it

We had our first truly sick vaxxed ICU patient the other day and they had J&J fwiw

So I think they're working as intended

Of course he didn't watch it. The title alone triggered his cognitive dissonance so he folded his arms, furrowed his brows, and basically zoned out for duration of the video... equivalent to a child covering his ears and going "LA LA LA LA LA!"

Goduke's reply was pathetic (par for the course). All he got out of the video was a guy using "medical terms." As if the speaker is some country bumpkin who whittles keychains for a living, but heard about a town hall meeting concerning the CDC status quo, decided to go undercover, memorized a few fancy words from the industry, and then went on a near 7 minute stream-of-consciousness opposing the board's proposed regulations.

I guess at the conclusion of his monologue, the guy scurried from the room and greeted his frat-bros who were just outside the building watching the live stream and doing intermittent keg-stands.
