I live in the central CT area and up here, in fact ALL of New England, we got way out in front of the curve with mask wearing and social distancing and are wide open now as far as restaurants, local businesses, casinos, etc.

The USA problem is undoubtedly the failure of Red State Republicans to initially get behind social distancing and mask wearing. As a result the South and Mid-West are now paying the price. Republicans should realize they were lied to by Trump and just OWN IT.

And, YES, the vaccines may not be 100% but they will reduce Covid symptoms significantly and keep you out of the hospital. If you refuse vaccination then you are the problem and NOT the solution.

I think BIDEN's wide open border is pouring COVID into a lot of southern states. That is by design. They want more COVID. Now that vaccinations are spreading it, they have what they want.

What I expect is that when we've got stats from 4 countries that show these jabs are offering protection below normal immune system levels (40% and below) that a little common sense kicks in.

People didn’t follow the lockdown. Yes businesses closed but people were still out and about. It was shown many times littering the beaches, going on spring break, congregating in churches and have big family gatherings. You can’t say it was a true lockdown when 50 percent didn’t follow it.

As for your reinfection rates you’re going to need to post legitimate links for that because I’m not seeing that anywhere.
As for the masks in the car they are probably just wearing it because they had it on from wherever they were before. I’ve definitely forgot to pull mine off before after I’ve gotten in the car because I don’t even realize it’s on.

Primary vector of spread for covid is droplet. Masks are extremely effective at reducing the spread of droplets containing high viral loads of covid mainly from coughing or sneezing. So do masks help prevent the spread of covid, 100% they do.
