2 problems with your list:

1) you're assuming all places in those states are the same politically. The poorest region in the US is in Mississippi, and it is roughly 70% democrat.
2) NY and California do well because all the tax revenue generated by multinational corps headquartered in those places are credited only to those places. Apple is responsible for roughly .5% of US GDP, and all of that is credited to Santa Clara county.

Last 3 Governor's and 4 out of last 5 are Rep! They have not had a Dem Senator since 1988!! I dont see it!! where did you get that info.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. No state is a monolith where every place votes the same %. I said:

and that region votes roughly 70% democrat...

that doesn't mean that all of Mississippi is 70% democrat, it means that region in Mississippi is both 70% democrat and the poorest region in the US and it drags the rest of Mississippi down in rankings of wealth, health and education.

1)I would think that different parts of all states would be differ politically!! IE.. In Georgia Atlanta differs politically than rural areas southeast of Atlanta

2) Why would that be different than in other state. Is there something wrong with a company having its headquarters in those states! The point is the what the money makers, not the why who makes the money! Was it just me or did fox news keep saying the last year that all the big corp. was leaving New York and California

1) Yeah and those dark blue areas in the southern and midwestern red states tend to be poorer, less educated and less healthy, which drags down the red state..

2) Because not every state will have dozens of fortune 500 companies headquartered there.

Put it this way: Chevron is based in Contra Costa County, California. They can have oil from wells in Mississippi sent to refineries in Texas which is then trucked to W. Nebraska where it is sold to some old guy on Social Security and Medicare who has never been west of the Rocky Mountains. The tax revenue that generates is credited to California, and the SS and Medicare is subtracted from Nebraska.

You're talking about companies that are decades old, and in some cases over 100 years old. How old is Wells Fargo? Or Apple or Chevron? The fact is that those companies started up and grew when California was a much more capitalist state. It really hasn't gone off the left cliff since 2008. Put it this way, 6 of the largest 7 companies in the world by market cap are American. 4 are located in California, 2 are in Washington and are all worth over half a trillion dollars, and you're talking about McKee Bakery, which isn't even a fortune 500 company or publically traded.

If Red states cant make any money even though they are much better place to live and have a business then thats just the way it is!! Tax distribution was my point size didnt matter!! just an example of a close company!! Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft you can add them up in years maybe you get 150

So you've missed the point entirely. You live in Tennessee, right? If you get a mortgage from JP Morgan, the tax revenue that mortgage generates is credited to NY. If that revenue winds up back in Tennessee, did NY send money to TN? No, the money, in reality, went from TN to the IRS back to TN, it never went to NY except on paper for accounting purposes.
