Well AA got 3 billion to help make payroll that only cost them 100 million per month. That’s not subsidies because that’s not helping keep the cost of flying low. The cost of flying low is because people weren’t flying. So instead they pocketed free money they don’t pay back when most of these airlines absolute ran their businesses like shit, build a ton of debt and destroyed their financials. It might cost money to support people who don’t work but one may argue between the money that went to things like this and the banks in 2008 that the free shot an unemployed worker gets isn’t even close to the same cost
