The idea is not to kill off Applebee’s entirely but fine-tune it. There will be greater focus on off-premises catering, takeout and delivery services. The leadership also is tinkering with healthier menu items and more ethnic food choices.

Applebee’s seem to vary a lot from town to town. In a white suburb can be great place to watch a game and grab cheap beers and a burger and some of waitstaff are good eye candy . Some of them are very ghetto though. I find that to be true of a lot of chains though. Has a lot to do with the local clientele and pool of workers they can choose from.
