Like he says in the video there comes a time when everybody else is offering their opinion on what you should do with your own life. After all the gap is his signature trademark. Some fans were horrified. But when you reach that point during your lifetime and you finally say, "skrew it, I'm doing things MY way on MY terms" then that person in the mirror has arrived.
