Give it a few months. The offers stop everywhere. They are just throwing money away hoping to lock up customers and hope people stay at their site instead of the next. Offshore is still better in every single way

Way more than a few months. Probably more like a few years. It's still in its infancy. Offshore has its merits also, but it's not better in every single way.

i see tons of offers for NJ residents on the NY sports networks. the offers are not stopping by any means.

offshore should offer the can't lose bets like draftkings or fanduel does.

Yeah, and new NJ is a more mature market now a couple years in. Others are just starting or starting later this year or next.

The local market will still be in infancy for another 2-3 years. The offers should continue.

Barstool has this crazy buzzer beaters promo that I'm trying to figure out the value.

You can be either O0.5-190 first round (I think doesn't include playin) or O1.5-180 full tourney buzzer beaters. That's defined as a game winning FG with subsequent clock stopped at 2.0 seconds less in regulation or OT. You then get a bonus multiplier if it's at least 1 full BB over the total. So if you bet the O0.5 and there are 2 BB, you get a 2x bonus from stake. 2 BB = 4x bonus; 3=6x bonus; 4=8x bonus. Max stake $10k.

Is this worth betting? If so, which is better? First 32 games at 0.5 or full tourney at 1.5? Need 2+ for bonus for the first round and 3+ for bonus for the full tourney.

I'm trying to figure out how often this happens each year, but have no clue how to figure that.

Far less than 1/2 the states have legal online sports wagering at this point in time.

I think in the next 5 years approximate 1/2 or more will have it legal.

Do you think it's worthwhile generally? I looked a little and I don't think I'll be able to find any stat on this. It's just so hard to evaluate.

And then not sure which one is better. I think the full tourney one is probably better. Because if you're playing for the bonus, you need two in just the first round to catch the 2x multiplier. And if you had that you'd only need 1 more for 2x in later rounds. And you have to almost throw out a bunch of first round games that almost certainly won't be close enough for a BB, whereas most any game in later rounds could be close. So I could see just 1 in the first round and then another 2 in the later rounds.

But offshores also cater to people outside the US. But I agree, within a few years offshores could be mostly dead to US bettors. They might even decide it's not worth working with US bettors. They'll have to survive without the US market, and some of them can.

Looks like a huge gift. Last 14 years, the O1.5 would have gone 10-4. And 3 happened 5 times (2x), 4 once (4x) and 6 once (8x in 2016). If this is accurate and predictive, this is massive value. I might put the $10k on it.
