I'm ready to see the actual episode, but I think I'm more excited to see the aftermath. At the height of cancel culture, will there be anything done/said that liberals try to take them down for? Or will it continue to just be a case of "South Park being South Park"?
They've gotten away with making fun of everyone (right, left, famous, infamous, religion, f*g bikers) for decades and thanks to a great partnership w/ Comedy Central have essential carte blanche when it comes to creative control. With cancel culture growing at an exponential rate and victimization becoming an identity for many people, I think South Park (Matt Stone and Trey Park in particular) could be exactly the type of people that will never back down or give in to the Twitter mob. I don't particularly want anyone trying to cancel South Park, but I do think that if they (the offended) do go after the show, that it will be a losing battle for cancel culture warriors. While it won't stop the momentum of censorship, it would be a very, very badly needed victory. Someone has to take a stand.
