    Anyone in the Insurance Business?
All these online senior quotes are frauds... They get down to quoting you and then ask for name and/or phone number.

I'm just looking for a general idea with no medical exam and kidney disease for a 72 year old male. (My phone number or address should not influence the quote? )

I am an insurance Broker dealing with Medicare. You should not for a Medicare Supplement need a Medical exam. A Managed care plan is the easiest to get into . That would be an HMO or PPO all they ask is if you have End Stage Renal Disease. A Med Supp is a lot harder to get. Although there will not be a Medical exam there will be underwriting. Here is what i do if the person is not in an Open Enrollment situation.

1- Drugs. Most companies have a list of drugs. If you take a drug on their list they will not take you. Sometimes you can sneak by on something specific. Like Metoprolol. If you take it for Irregular Heartbeat they will not take you. If you take it for Blood Pressure you are fine.

2- Full underwriting. You will have to answer a full almost 2 pages of Medical questions. A lot focused on the last 2 years. Some it depends what the health issue is. Certain things they are really tough on like Insulin or COPD. There will also look at if you smoke and Height and weight. I have clients turned down for being Overweight. Once even for being underweight .

3- Phone Interview . A lot of companies will have a phone interview and they can turn you down there to.

It really depends on what you are looking for. If you want just something that is not great coverage but cheap and easy to get there are HMOs . They are the Primary and call the shots but are cheaper.

If you want better coverage and are Ok with spending a bit more Then those are the true Medicare Supplements. The best plans are the F(New to Medicare cannot get this - You can because you are already on Medicare) The G plan and then the N plan. The F is the best you can get . Next is the G followed by the N. I would not recommend any of the others a lot do not include the Skilled nursing and you need that to make the Medicare Supplement do what it needs to do. I do not know where you like i will give you a typical price if i was doing someone and showing them prices in PA.

      F Plan -$217.50 72 male

      G Plan -$174.18 male

      N Plan - $136.03 male

Keep in mind these are PA prices where i am licensed . I am licensed there and NJ . So prices will vary a little state to state.

I'm a semi-retired broker that writes Medicare business with several different companies. About 750 Medicare Advantage clients. I know enough about Final Expense that i got out of it over 10 years ago. Why are you looking for 25,000 of life without a medical exam? Are you saying you do have kidney disease or no. If you do, the only thing you have to look forward to is going to a kidney dialysis center every other day possibly in the future. Not pleasant. If a company is going to give you first day coverage, they will ask you questions. If you don't want to answer then, good luck finding any company that at your age will write 25,000 WL without questions.

This is like trying to buy full coverage insurance for an old broken down car - probably not insurable.

                How stupid,
I have 9.5K in savings now. The Colonial Life Insurance company runs an ad on TV, that from 50 to 80 yrs of age you can get insurance with no medical questions asked.. I have been to their website and that does not EXIST. Should I just try to save another 15K? I really don't understand!

Hockey...I appreciate. Went to their website and filled out as much as they asked for UNTIL the phone #. They didn't quote a price nor ask me how much I was seeking (Want Phone No)... Think, I'll find some other way to get my money to my daughter... Absurd IMO!
