Been happening quite a bit. Sister Manager of a credit union so mentioned it to me months ago as I have prime. Glad they took care of it

Yeah, I'm thinking about closing my Amazon Acct. About once a week, I get an email (fake) saying my purchase is on it's way..Usually about a $2k computer device. I sent the first couple to Amazon's spam email.. But this is headed for trouble. I only orded a couple of small priced items from Amazon over the years, but it looks to me their system has been hacked, along with with many others.

I was just reading last night about a Cox customer being charged for a Countour device they never received. They finally went to the BBB and I think it was eventually resolved....But who needs all this aggravation!

I’ve gotten them from a few places also.
A few years ago, I saved my credit card in EBay and Amazon to make it easier.?. One night, Real late like 3 a.m. my phone starts dinging.. My bank was notifying me that there was a purchase in Maryland with that same card .. While I’m looking at it, another ding comes in that the card was used in California...
The bank fixed it. But now I do not have any online company save my credit card number. Everything is a one time purchase.. Takes a little longer, but much safer..
Not that this is fool proof, but is probably the better choice...

The world we now live in is RIPE for online crooks as they learn how and what they can get away with. It's only going to get worse going forward.
It's not just Amazon by any means. They are simply an easy Target.
Even the damm CDC assumes I know how to scan a QR code for my vaccine shot. I have not a clue
and even if I did, it feels like being exposed to something on a computer screen.

Get them every day. No big deal, just report/delete. If the sender's email address is a bunch of gobbledygook its spam.

I use a **** card that I bought at our Famous WalMart..lol and put a C on it. When it's up i toss the card and buy another. Not using my reg cards for any online purchases. Same goes for Pay Pal.
