People/companies all over the place using Covid as an excuse to not do shit they don't want to do. Have plans and don't feel like going? 'I think I might have Covid'. Don't feel like working anymore and being lazy. 'THe lingering affects of Covid made me this way'. Don't feel like offering free breakfast at your hotel, free refills at your fast food place, bathrooms for customers to use, etc. Covid is pretty much a get out of jail free card that everyone and their mom is using nowadays to not follow up with commitments, and just be lazy when they want to be.
He probably just didn't want to get punched in the face anymore, or he lost desire for sport. Found the perfect excuse to get some attention, and go out looking like a champ.

i hope that you realize that covid being a major problem for young athletes is laughable. the one example you found turned out to be probably wrong. a tiny percent of the millions of athletes might have a serious problem from covid but i would bet that the athletes are in much greater danger just from traveling to play their sport or from just playing their sport.

its the same with ppl concerned about school shootings. your child is more likely to die driving to school than being shot.

Last months HBO real sports was also dedicated to athletes struggling with Covid. It’s a game changer. If you’re a Longhauler, then most likely your career in whatever sport you had, is over or close to being over. Coming to the realization of it is tough. Remember Dana White doesn’t believe in Covid. Of course he is going to downplay it and speak for Khazmat.

its potentially a real problem for him but he could of died in a car crash too. driving is much more of a threat to a young person than covid but we still drive because we dont worry that we have a .0124% chance of dying every year from driving. actually dying from covid when you are as young as khazmat is probably about a .0003% chance in a year and that is not even taking into account fitness. if you put your life on hold for every minor threat then you would never be able to do anything. there is basically nothing that you can do that hasnt caused someone's death.

you need 3 months of training camp to prepare for a fight so he should be fully recovered from covid by now in order to enter training camp. the right thing to do would be to let the guy fully recover (if he ever does who knows) and then give him his 3 months training camp. I mean chimaev is very hyped right now so there is or was a lot of money to be made for dana but by throwing him into the ring with dead lungs and short to almost no real training camp dana is basically killing chimaev for good. he stands no chance against a ranked and fully prepared UFC fighter. once he gets crushed by Edwards in June no-one will give a shit about chimaev anymore.

so instead of milking the cow for many years to come, fukktard dana wants to end chimaevs career in June for some quick cash. if all this is really true, which so far it seems that it is, and not the usual UFC promotion bullshit. but if chimaev goes into the cage with dead lungs and shitty training camp because dana wants him to, I really hope dana gets the china virus in the worst form possible so he is spitting and shitting blood everywhere.
