#3Several years ago, I had a VPN for a few months. One night, I got an official email from Cox, stating that my computer was generating something (I don't recall, what they called it) but they had 2 links for me to run on my computer. One was about a 2 hour Microsoft check .. I ran it and it came back negative. I told them but there was a phone number for abuse at Cox... I called them and the agent said that my computer had probably sent a strange signal, but since this was my first notice, not to worry about...He went on to say, that if it continues to happen someone from Cox would come out to look at my computer. That made me delete the VPN service. That's the one and only time that I've had interaction . I think possibly they may be illegal on some computers... Not certain.Comment -
