Why would I store water? Is there a shortage or something?

I have a chodey glass water bottle with a rubber cover around it that I fill up 5 times a day. Helps remind me to hydrate enough always having it around

I'll take a guess and say he's talking about using a water purifier such as a Berkey. That's what I use and only store in glass bottles.

Plastic here. Since the Flint, MI debacle you can't trust any public water supply for anything. I don't care if it's filtered or not. I'm in charge of what goes in my household and we go through three 24 packs of Poland Spring (ME) bottled drinking water each week. I also use plastic reusable ice cubes in all my drinks because it doesn't dilute my quality beverage of choice.

Public water? I'll shave, shower, and s#it in it... that's all thank you.

Big Berkey is one of the best household items I’ve ever purchased

I fill up five 5-gallon plastic containers at the Pure Water store near me about once a month. Costs about $15. Our tap water tastes foul.

Literally the Big Berkey I have (which is the smallest one) just for me; has helped saved my life with pure drinking water. Plus I use it for coffee. I don't know what stage of kidney disease I'm currently in, but after using it for all my drinking water and coffee for about 6 months; tests showed a (and this was a few years ago) that my stge 3 KD was only stage 2. It could not have been anything other than a change in drinking habits which was the pure water from Big Berkey. It's advanced now, but haven't been tested in awhile. It's good to drink water that has ZERO taste!

                    1. glass
                    2. plastic

Stainless steel is another common option.

i put in a tupperware type pitcher in my fridge so it gets cold.

i want to get a fridge where the water comes out from the front with the ice. that is one of my goals when i purchase my home in a few months. sounds cheesy but for me that would be a big thing.

I live in Wayne County closer to Detroit... I've traveled practically everywhere in my younger years... I would say Wayne County has the best tasting water from the tap. Yeah... I have an extra mild water filtration system inside my home... for drinking water... but... I'd chance it. Anywhere else... I wouldn't chance it.

Naturally I heard about the Flint situation.... that was a complete joke. Sorry you had to go through all that.

The primary risk associated with drinking bottled water is the fact that you can be exposed to harmful toxins from the plastic

Go get yourself a very good reverse osmosis filter and attach to kitchen sink. All the water in world to drink......and cook. That can run you 150.00 plus. Bottled water is sometimes reverse osmosis at the bottle company. This way, you can cook and clean your cups you use for liquids etc.

There are millions of things that are not good for you. I read an article that says your 3x more likely to die of heart attack watching sporting event..yet how many now won't watch sports now.
