#38I used to watch this show all the time, mostly on as background noise while on my phone or whatever.... but there was an episode where they talked about that picture. Revealed that it wasn't actually signed by Henry Winkler... I *think* it was simply forged by the Old Man (RIP) and Rick kept it around for sentimental reasons. I forget the specifics, but I remember it's not a real signature.Originally posted by stevenashOn Rick Harrison's office wall Rick hangs a personally framed autograph of "the Fonz"
Of all the guys on Earth, past or present, Rich chooses Fonzie as his hero.

Even thought I dislike the word 'icon' only because that word is overused but the word 'iconic' does apply to Happy Days.Comment -

#44There are some that will tell you that Milwaukee is a foreign city.Originally posted by OptionalHappy Days made Milwaukee look cool to a foreign kid.
I too like Milwaukee, it's only an hour or so drive from Chicago, another city I enjoy visiting every time I have to go there.
Milwaukee is like Chicago's little brother,
The best thing about Milwaukee, even better than beer is like you pal Nasher Milwaukee is a Polish city.
Go Brewers and Bucks!
Two teams that I am not really a fan of but they are easy teams to like, unlike say the Cowboys for instance which is a team that is easy to dislike.
Speaking of Milwaukee without Fonzie there would be no Shotz Brewery, and without the Shotz Brewery there would be no Laverne and Shirley.
Interesting back story to that Happy Days spin off, Cindy Williams did not want any part of the Shirley role.
That show would never would have been an eight year success with Penny Marshall and a 'nobody' as a side kick.
The story goes and I really don't know all the details, but the story goes Penny asked her older brother Garry Marshall (who if you ask me is the GOAT when it comes to TV sit-coms for TV directors/producers/editors/screen writers...) take a look at his TV and film credits, that man was like the Babe Ruth of TV and film directors.
But I digress, there I go again going on all sorts of tangents and getting long winded.
When it comes to long winded I am the GOAT but that's who I am, it's what I do as brevity was never my forte.
Any-hoo, from what I have read in the past, Garry Marshall, (Penny's big brother in real life, not former husband, Penny was married to Rob Reiner of "All in the Family' another GOAT sit-com by the way) convinced Cindy to take the role of Shirley and the rest as they is history.
Penny and Garry Marshall are the greatest brother/sister combination in TV/film history.
That can not even be debatable, that combination reads like a who's who of media credits it's mind boggling.Comment -
