Impeachment of Trump has no chance.
    1. It is not legal to impeach a citizen who doesn't hold office.
    2. Trump meets the criteria of an eligible candidate for the presidency.
    3. SCOTUS will easily overrule any successful Congressional impeachment.
    4. Senate knows this and won't go down looking ridiculous.

    1. He has already been impeached, twice. That happened and is undeniable.
    2. He will not be convicted in the senate, because these politicians overwhelmingly vote based on the letter next to their name and nothing else.
    3. There are only 50 senators with a D next to their name and they need 67 votes for a conviction.
    4. No one is going to appeal to this to the Supreme Court, and they are not going to look at it.

this idiotic impeachment show trial is 20x more ill-fated than the first......

all pelosi has accomplished is the watering down of impeachment to the level of a house censor motion -- all it takes is a majority of votes, no evidence, no due process, no nothing to get it done except an angry kunt speaker with tds and a majority of members.....

it might have used to been a big thing to be impeached, now it's nothing at all......

harken back to when this kunt pelosi, before becoming enraged and delusional with hatred for trump, acknowledged that impeachment should never be brought unless it is truly bipartisan and supported by the necessary 2/3 of senators to prevail......

        what a sorry, pathetic kunt.....

Wish they would have caught up with Pelosi and Schumer on January 6th.

Trump was impeached while holding office, so even if it is true, that point is particularly meaningless

If there's a resolution on eligibility for election you can bet your ass it'll be appealed to SCOTUS.

Roberts evidently has stated he won't oversee this trial due to it's being an illegitimate procedure. But if there's say, a majority resolution barring any private citizen otherwise fully qualified to serve as President, it will be appealed to the SCOTUS and I, for one, would arrest every senator and house member for using their seat as infl6ence peddling for a racketeering/ corrupt organization (political party) to eliminate their political enemies.

That is absolutely 100% pure fascism, and the Democrats on this board better step up and own it- it's indefensible that the Congress would barr a private citizen from running for office via a paryyline resolution

See points 2 and 3 that I made. There will be no conviction, therefore no appeal to the Supreme Court. It's hilarious how you are so desperate to attack Democrats for any possible reason that it stops you from seeing reality.

All the Democrats are doing is basing their position along party lines. Which is exactly what you are doing.

There doesn't need to be a conviction to pass a referendum in parliamentary procedures.

It would be a simple majority vote.
