Fischbacher died Wednesday at his home in Las Vegas after succumbing to pancreatic cancer.
A malignant tumor was initially removed from Fischbacher in a 12-hour operation but it was found to have already spread in his body.
Fischbacher was released from the hospital at his own request and returned to his Las Vegas home where he was cared for by two nurses before his death.
Fischbacher died just a few months after his long-term partner Roy Horn, of Siegfried and Roy, died at the age of 75 following COVID-19 infection.
Sigfried and Roy's magic act, best remembered for featuring lions and tigers, was one of the most beloved in Las Vegas.
The pair headlined at The Mirage for 13 years, until a 2003 accident with one of the big cats left Horn partially paralyzed.

One of the best shows in Vegas ever. I’ve seen their show about 10 times and I still don’t know how they make a big ass elephant disappear right in front of you? I’ve sat in the front row a couple times and could smell the pee from the lions. Damn near felt a few droplets. Seems just a few years ago when Roy was attacked by the lion. Their faces on the billboard was a permanent fixture on the strip. Nothing stays the same. Sad to hear of his death. RIP

Good stuff. Never saw the show because I was too young and too inebriated when I first came to Vegas in 1999 but I remember seeing their faces on the strip and thinking “Holy Shit, this is really Las Vegas.” Father Time is undefeated.
