Confirmed killing spree started in 1970 and lasted until at least 2005. Didnt get caught until 2012.

That is the thing. If there is no motive and nobody really cares about the person that died, it is a lot less likely to be found out. Take homeless people for instance.

Maybe a woman cross country trucker stopping at different cities throughout the country acting like a hooker picking up unsuspecting dudes in da hood only to do a reverse cowgirl beatdown on them.
