Yes, I watched some videos. I can get one started. I was basically curious to know if Coca-Cola was good enough to attract them to the box instead of lemongrass oil.

OK, I think my sister is going to try to buy the starter box with the hole in it. This is her project. She wants free honey and wants me to get stung.

What kind of winter weather you have that bees can survive? Just curious.

Mild winters and live a little out in the country so lots of weeds. Good place for bees.

I have no experience with bees. I looked into it and it was too expensive. My sister just thinks I would like it and she wants honey because she thinks it is good for allergies and she wants to help the bees.

I think I have 1 chance in a 1000 of catching bees but apparently you can do it.

Hopefully, I do not get any Africanized bees. Those are downright scary. Some bees did kill a couple of horses a couple of years ago so apparently they are around.

The answer to my question is No. Lemongrass apparently smells like the pheromone bees use to mark a good hive location so it does more than just attract them like Coca-Cola would.
