Stimulus coming soon but with strings. I probably would just so I don't have to ask my wife if I can gamble.
Would you get the Covid Vax for $1500???

#11I don't particularly have a reason to NOT get the vaccination.
I will say, *if* I did have a specific reason not to get it, no, 1500 bucks wouldn't be enough to persuade me to get it. 1500 bucks isn't enough to persuade me to do much of anything specifically.Comment -

#12The current plan is to do whatever my doctor suggests. I've had three anti-body tests, results two positive, one negative. I've scheduled a whole blood /red blood cell donation at the blood bank later this month. I should get a fourth result involving co-vid 19 anti bodies by years end. This will help in understanding my next best move.
Most likely I caught the virus in February from the workplace. I've never been tested for co-vid. The fact I've tested positive twice for the antibodies suggests I did have it at one time. This crap is akin to navigating a mine field.
If offered $1500 today I would not take their vaccine! I need more time and information to make proper intelligent decision.
I'll be interested in reading other posters take on this.Comment -

#13i had mentioned i tested positive for antibodies at the end of April. i think i had covid for most of February. worst part was the bad cough at night waking me up and the pink eye that developed. the pink eye was only one day in each eye. the cough was for weeks.
anyway, i plan on getting the vaccine. i cannot risk my parents getting this. my dad already has bad RA and some moderate liver issues and my mom was very recently diagnosed with breast cancer. getting money for it would be a bonus imo.Comment -

No where in my post is the reference I TRUST my doctor. I Listen to them because of their experience.
Long story short--In 2002 I was informed I had five years left to live unless I had a liver transplant. No liver transplant, no disease, still moving, Still bitter about that one.Comment -

#34I'm going to get it just for the cash and potential super powers. Also some of you are missing the point. The government is going to tie your stimulus check to the vaccine. You don't get your stimulus unless you get the shot. Win win IMOComment -

#35This summer, computational biologist Luke Hutchison volunteered for a trial of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine. But after the second injection, his arm swelled up to the size of a “goose egg,” Hutchison says.
He can't be sure he got the vaccine and not a placebo, but within a few hours, Hutchison, who was healthy and 43, was beset by bone and muscle aches and a 38.9°C fever. “I started shaking. I had cold and hot rushes,” he says. “I was sitting by the phone all night long thinking: ‘Should I call 911?’”
Hutchison's symptoms resolved after 12 hours. But, he says, “Nobody prepared me for the severity of this.”
He says the public should be better prepared than he was, because a subset of people may face intense, if transient, side effects, called reactogenicity, from Moderna's vaccine. Some health experts agree.Comment
