    Civil rights groups warn NBA
Kansas City has popped up as a potential temporary home for the Toronto Raptors next season — as they will likely need to relocate due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and international travel restrictions in place.

"Although Kansas City is a great sports city, it is also a city where law enforcement has demonstrated extreme hostility and excessive force towards Black people.”

    They're coming to Tampa

    You heard it here 1st

NBA is dead in the midwest once Giannis leaves Milwaukee.

Might as well fold up MN, Mil, Cle, Chi, OKC, Indi. No point to them anymore

Kansas City kings were there long ago and then shipped out to Sacramento.

Kansas City Cowards should be the interim name.

NBA basketball would be huge in KC. Sprint Center downtown is the perfect venue with Power & Light District directly across the street. You have to drive 30 minutes Northeast of the city to go to a Chiefs/Royals game, which might not sound bad in New York, but that's like 20 miles in KC. It would be a half hour drive from Lawrence if downtown. It would be like the OKC fan base, which is historically very good and loyal. Praying this is true and KC shows that we deserve a team eventually!

Just read (skimmed) the article. I don't understand it. If the city has done so little to support black lives matter (which I find that claim to be absolutely ridiculous), why would you NOT want the team to play there for a year? Wouldn't that be a opportunity to bring people together? Not to mention the revenue it would bring in?

Raptors will never find a city to play in if civil rights group pick anecdotal stories of racism in cities of hundreds of thousands of people. There will always be racist people. Just because KC is in the midwest does not automatically make it a redneck racist town. It is one of the friendliest cities I have ever spent time in. I am from the area, so am biased, but there has been almost zero violence/rioting here and I think it's because most people around here (black and white) have better shit to do and worry about and have more mutual respect for each other, on the whole. That article really pisses me off.
