The logic is about the ICU capacity in hospitals. If your country has lets say 1,000 ICU beds and you get hit with 5,000 covid cases that require hospitalization then you will have to let people die before they can recover. A lockdown limits the transmission of the disease until the ICU capacity of hospitals can handle it again.

It was all about flattening the curve to prevent hospital overload. But basically the last 6 months, nowhere has been at capacity. Early on there was talk of military converting hotels/motels into hospitals to deal with it.

Public lost all faith in govt who keep changing their minds about everything, like masks. People have had enough.. will continue to OVER patronize local shops/restaurants/etc. Definitely NOT supporting the local gym though... they just giggle when i walk by... assholes
