I dont disagree entirely with what you’re trying to communicate but make no mistake, Trump welcomes it and brings a lot of it on himself. His humor is a troll style humor, he stirs the pot and trolls those that dont support him. So its not surprising people dislike him and call him names. Is it childish, sure some of it is. But its not childish to call someone a racist that is exhibiting racist behavior. Im not saying Trump is a racist but he has said enough that its not unreasonable to entertain the idea. Just because people have opinions about him doesnt mean they’re acting childish although many are.

It is not unreasonable to entertain any ideas. But it is unreasonable to be unreasonable when entertaining the ideas. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and they should feel free to express it. My ONLY contention is how it's being done.

But the overarching point of my message was not the point that Donald is being treated in a certain way. Make no mistake he is being treated unfairly, but the entire opposition is acting this way overall, towards anyone and everyone. Is literally everyone who is voting for Biden guilty of this? Of course not. Is literally everyone who is in opposition of Trump acting like this? Of course not. But there is a heavy majority of those who have been vocal about their opposition to Trump, that go around being unfair and childish and evil, unaccepting of literally anything from the brain or mouth of those that will vote for Trump.

My point is simple. If you want to be taken seriously, and actually be able to call out Donald Trump for misdeeds, you need to be a fair honest person. Speak about the issues like an adult. Stop the name calling and pure evil that has come along with it. If not, you are guilty of exactly what you are blaming Trump of. If you go around to any threads or any media outlet that is talking about Trump, or rhetoric that opposes anything left moving, you will see this. You won't see it much from those on the right. Sure derogatory comments about Joe will be made, and stories will be brought up to undermine, but by in large the people you will encounter will not be so childish and evil as to simply resort to name calling rather than speak about what are actual facts that aren't to their favor, while at the same time attempting to defend themselves against all of the unfair ridiculous smear campaigns, and personal attacks.

The difference between a liberal Democrat and a conservative republican is minimal when it comes to American politics. Theres many things the dems and repubs have in common. They are still on the right side of poltical compass ultimately.

Even someone like bernie sanders is a centrist at best.

Your point is very important and its easy to forget how much we have in common when all we’re bombarded is how different we are.

There has always been a coordinated effort from outside actors ie Russia, China, Iran etc... to undermine our democracy. So that it is continuing to happen is expected and nothing new, but they’re more successful now than they’ve ever been in a large part due to social media. Its a combination of the ease of access every American has to social media, the time we spend on the internet and a lack of oversight.

Its imperative we remember what you said, that we all have more in common than what divides us, but also that we become more aware of why we feel so divided and how we got here.
