The problem is people who otherwise wouldn't make the effort to go to the polls can easily just mail in a ballot now. It's a complete game changer and benefits the Democrats exponentially more. As just one example, in Philadelphia 1 in 7 voters is registered Republican; when it comes to the people who intend to vote by mail it's only about 1 in 16 voters.
