Have not seen one guess or estimate anywhere. Could be less than $100k total for all suits, im no expert but millions i doubt it

There's no way this kid is making any big money. News organizations never settle these type of lawsuits unless the settlement is way less than what they would pay in attorneys fees to fight the case. The AJC fought the Jewell case for 15 years and never paid him a cent.

This kid's lawyers is the same guy that sued media firms for Jewell, and Jewell said he basically got nothing after lawyer fees and his other expenses. Jewell was working a cop job when he died. By the way, if you're interested in the Atlanta bombing, a great book came out named "Suspect." which was the basis for the Clint Eastwood movie.

Both sides agreed not to disclose the money. Why? The media firms don't want to encourage more suits that they would settle, and this kid doesn't want it out he settled a $250 million suit for little money.

Seems to me he wants to put this on his resume that he fought media firms and got settlements.

He is EASILY getting millions from each suit. No reason to settle for anything less. The evidence of libel on a non-public figure is obvious and any settlement is to the benefit of the defendant of the trial NOT going to court.

The lawyer is doing this so he can sue them again a second time. Get the guy and his co-workers to say more on Twitter and more possibility of confidential information of the case coming out. I don't think the guy's tweet itself will be enough but this get's more people talking and eventually somebody with confidential knowledge will let it slip. Libel on a private citizen from a major network is a serious offense and the kid got payed an amount in the millions. it's WAY more damaging to CNN to let this case play out in public than to pay the kid millions of dollars.

The MN Jesse Ventura case is the new president, that's why these media outlets are settling.

Ventura sued the widow of and estate of the dead Sniper guy (the seal w all the kills) for defamation and WON, it wiped out his Estate and bankrupted the wife.

They appealed and u think eventually settled for a reduced amount out of court.

The kid is grossing 1.25-$1.65m per suit
