They don't know whose bullet caused her death. That's why the AG is investigating. The investigation should've been completed by now, not sure what the hold-up is. The conspiracy is that the AG and forensics are trying to pin the fatal shot coming from the boyfriends gun. But all accounts have him as only firing the one shot through the door when it was being breached. The "no-knock" warrant is just the name. Meaning it is a warrant that can be at any hour, mainly night, for the element of surprise. Doesn't mean they don't do some sort of quick knock before trying to enter a home.
Apparently the cops did do some quick pounding or "knocks" before trying to crash through the door. But there is no evidence they were identifying themselves as cops. Even neighbors claim to not hear any shouting by police as identifying themselves.
When the boyfriend(with no record and a licensed gun owner) and Breona heard the loud noise they got out of bed and went to look. Now, whether the door was being breached by the officer and the boyfriend had no idea as identity of who was entering and shot through the door hitting the cop - or, whether the cop(s) were still officially on the outside and door hadn't been breached or opened in any capacity, and the BF shot through the door hitting what turned out to be a cop - is still hazy and up for debate.
There are conflicting stories from all sides. Well, only one person on the one side, the BF who didn't get caught in the hail of bullets, says the door was breached. The cops have conflicting stories on whether they did or did not identify themselves, or whether the door was or was not breached.
But the fact does remain that the BF only fired one shot. And that shot is alleged to have hit a cop that led to the hail of gunfire. Not knowing what or who, and how many people(armed or unarmed) including possible children were on the inside of the home, and firing wildly not knowing where the bullets are going, was reckless as FOoK.

She was working 2 jobs in the healthcare field. She was working for the UofL Healthcare System and I think Baptist East Healthcare System.
For an alleged drug dealer/mule, she sure was a go-getter about getting her schooling in and being a busy worker.

But even if she was to have been involved in any sort of drug dealing to make some extra money to pay bills or whatever. That doesn't give the cops carte blanche to assume without overwhelming verified evidence and sworn testaments any justification for the warrant. Much less, the reckless hail-fire of bullets sprayed into the home without knowing who or what they were shooting.

The police should not be required to know and alert their presence to people who may want to cause them harm.

But if she had spent more time reviewing Jaynes' warrant applications, she might have thought to ask whether there could be an innocent explanation for the interactions between Taylor and Glover, which apparently had nothing to do with drugs.

Some of the main questions being asked and investigated are the why and how, the detectives gathered their "facts" to present to a judge in order to get the warrant. What little that the local newspaper has released, points to the detectives not having very much to go on except for hypotheticals and hunches. Whether the detectives grossly over-fabricated their "facts" to convince a judge to sign for warrant, or whether the judge didn't do their due diligence in making sure the detectives had valid overwhelming proof before signing off on the warrant - are all needing investigated.

The cops themselves have gave conflicting stories as to whether they identified themselves as they were trying to enter. NO properly trained cop, or level-headed, would just start firing wildly into a home in a residential area without knowing who or where exactly they are shooting. You take cover, fall back, and identify yourself - and assess the situation.

From what the local paper has released it seems more probable that the detectives were grasping at straws to validate a reason to include her and to acquire a separate search warrant for her place. Even the warrant for the EX bf at his home in a different section of the city, even seems a stretch. The EX had only minor piddly shit on his record. Nothing that would justify he was moving weight and was a threat or public nuisance to the neighbors around him.
But for Breona in particular - there are no indications of red flags to justify the warrant on her home at the time. No prior records of anything. Her sister that is stated to have lived with her, from all accounts has a clean record- plus the current BF had no record, heck he was legally able to own a gun, and it was licensed. No reports of sworn testimonials and/or statements from neighbors claiming something sketchy was going on at her home. Postal inspector claims nothing suspicious about the mail/deliveries at her home. No records of anonymous tips being called in to report her or her address as possible drug-dealing and/or shady business going on.
