Should the entire US just lock down for 6 weeks?

Can't afford to, there really isn't anymore money nor appetite to print it.

Many States are already bankrupt because of this, next wave is cuts in pensions, followed by MASSIVE tax hikes on everything.

Just wait till airlines lay off 50,000 employees 9.1 (when the PPP contract ends)

we only need to lock down for 2/3 weeks total but everyone has to play along. Hong Kong just locked down again after 67 new cases in the last 2 weeks. That’s a total of 67 mind you. They at least take this shit seriously and know how to nip this shit in the bud.

Can't lock down. Shyt the first time will dome the economy as it is, but really what does a lock down do? It just delays the time that it will take for all of us to get the kung flu. How long did it take to get something to cure the aids virus? That one went through a name change and had an ironically named poster boy named Magic Johnson for decades before any real progress. Yep, it will be awhile before we can have some bat wing soup again. You're just gonna have to learn to live with the fact that we have yet another deadly disease that you might catch and die from. Oh well who cares, the sooner we get over it the better the world will be. Get back to life everyone, we have already wasted 6 months on this and it looks like the ruling class is gonna try for another 6. I for one ain't sitting around during Christmas with my mask with jingle bells hanging off of it alone in my house. It just isn't going down like that for me. Get out there and get back to work and afterwards, hit the bar for a happy hour or maybe even bring back ladies night remember those?

should have all closed down back in march into april when we had the stimulus and such. that was the time to do it nationally. here in the NE we were down for almost 7 weeks before phase 1 started.

then you reopen and masks are mandatory. doctors say with everyone wearing masks this can be controlled in 2-3 weeks. not preaching about masks, just saying the plan that doctors say "will" work.

can't have states doing different things. it just doesn't work. we are not islands where people can't leave so easily.

Market up because bonds are 0% domestic and negative international.

There is LITERALLY nowhere else to invest your money, if we close down and market tanks, then the world is finished as we know it, money is finished, government is finished, etc you get the picture.

If some of these other states took more pre cautions we had a shot at college football.New Jersey will probably have a slight delay in high school football which is great considering what was taking place.The state was locked down for 8-10 weeks and people took it seriously.

Granted NJ got hit the hardest but I would call it a learning experience, Proceed with caution is all I can say

Many of the states Governors today with the major issues would brag how they would never end up like the states in the northeast, NJ., NY. Conn., Etc. Those states governors could have learned a lot from those northern staes, but it looks like their ignorance and ideology have gotten in the way of thinking intelligenly. I mean for a Governor to sue a mayor of a major city over face mask is just fukking ignorant and beyond crazy...Oh thats the Governor that admitted he didn't know the covid virus would pass from one person to another..

That is with a urban population of 8 million. Florida(22 million) with 300,000 cases and 14,000 new cases a day IS OPENING UP!
