As we previously reported, the launch of Ford’s new-and-improved Bronco SUV was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. After weeks of waiting for a new unveiling date, the automaker announced it would prove the leaked photos right or wrong sometime in July. Then this week, we got an official date: July 9, 2020.
What’s important about that date? It also happens to be the birthday of O.J. Simpson, who took the most infamous Bronco ride in history when Al Cowlings drove the Juice in a low-speed police chase in a white version of the SUV back on June 17, 1994, ending in Simpson’s arrest in connection with the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
