Boxing gym I went to was right there. I walked through Cal Anderson park every day and whats going on now isn’t all that far from the way its always been in that area. The park has a nice size multi-use field with cheap astroturf, homeless peeps pissed and shit all over the field and then Id see it packed with college kids sitting around eating lunch

Bunch of crazies, homeless people, hippies, etc... Occasionally saw a police officer or 2 but not often. Cap Hill is one of if not the only neighborhoods left in Seattle that hasn’t been heavily gentrified.

France, to my recollection, had the largest standing army in the world before the Germans attacked. The problem was that they were still preparing battle plans that were for WW1. Apparently, they had no idea the Germans were building the Luftwaffe, tanks, u-boats, etc. They got run right over and never had a chance. I have no idea how they did not modernize. But, France DID NOT modernize their military. When they saw the beginning of the "Blitzkrieg", they surrendered "smartly" because they would've been wiped out.
