Recently launched streaming service HBO Max on Tuesday confirmed it removed the 1939 epic "Gone With the Wind" over racist depictions but said the movie will return later with more context.

The original film will be brought back "with a discussion of its historical context and a denouncement of those very depictions," a spokesperson for the service said in a statement.

There's no doubt racism is alive in America, and around the world.

It's amazing how long it seems to take to phase away, or maybe it never does. The melting pot of america seems to breed racism too. Maybe allowing it in the comedy sector wasn't such a good idea for race relations. That appears to phasing out as well, regardless of what some think.

But make no mistake, even the whole world gets outraged when there is racism. It doesn't just have to follow the American lead.

This Chinese commercial sparked outrage I think less than 5 years ago, and rightfully so. I wish we could fast forward a generation and see the state of things then.

We actually booked a cruise a few days ago goes to Bermuda. It is a 9 day cruise not until next year though. On the way it also stops at Charleston S.C . which is where i was stationed on the Minesweeper you see on my avatar. Would love to swing by even at the gates if it is totally shut down. A ton of memories there.
