After Drew Brees ‘foot-in-mouth’ moment, Jameis Winston’s MVP stock rose. His odds for winning dropped from +6600 to +2500. Given Brees’ age and declining skillset, if there’s holdover hostility among the Saints black players, Winston could get the starting job earlier, rather than later. With a better O-Line, better receivers, and a real offensive play-caller – and, assuming Winston can stop completing passes to opposing teams – this could be worth a flyer.
