Nasher, did you ever go to the old Yankee Stadium?
If so, did you ever park on the side streets?
Yes on both counts.
We used to drink long neck bottles of Bud across the street at the bowling alley before game time.
Good old days.
Been to Wrigley, and Fenway (and others too)

Don't take your health for granted, if you party like it's 1999 when you are say 28 years old it will catch up with you when you are say 42.
I am fortunate, I quit partying like it was 1999 a while ago and I am in the best shape of my life right now.
That's all? I was hoping you'd give me less generic secrets.

No, be yourself.
Don't be the next Nasher (one is enough)
Be the first BOA12, not the next Nasher.
As much as one knows, and as good as one is there is always somebody out there that knows more than you and is better at what you do as well.
That last statement are words your pal Nasher lives by.
Feel free to drop by this thread anytime for more pearls of wisdom from your pal Nasher (which are really more like psycho-babble than pearls of wisdom)

Maybe I need to clarify my statement.
I'm not saying Trump is not going to be reelected, or is not reelectiable, I am saying he is not a lock to win it again.
Trump has shot himself in the foot recently a few times and has done some very unpresidential (if there is such a word) things as well.
The last election my vote for Trump was really an anti Hilary vote, and if it comes down to my choice between Biden or Trump my vote will be an anti Joe Biden vote.
In my opinion this upcoming election will be close providing there are no more shocking current events.
Know this though, the perception of the way Trump handled the protests, riots (call it what you want) is not very good.
I'm not saying this, I'm saying the way most Americans (and worldwide) perceived on the way he handled it will cost him some votes.
Damn, I wish I had a better choice than Biden and Trump.
Peace brother.

Your response to the comment I made was all very well said. The things is, none of that matters for Trump to have 4 more years in office.
And to be clear, I couldn't care less who will be President.... from a political viewpoint.

Yes, me as well.
I'm a Republican, but not a 'puppet' Republican.
By this I mean I have and will cross party lines when the other side presents a better option.
I don't and will not vote up and down the party line with a closed mind.

Hell I'd play the game for nothing but expenses, and unlike most of the aforementioned millionaires I can actually lay down a sacrifice bunt, play hit and run and move a runner along.
Never in a thousand years did I think I would start siding with the owners.
I can’t side with the owners here, obviously I think there plenty of blame to go around on both sides and it does kill me when one the players starts blabbing about risking their lives (spare me that nonsense).
That said I just don’t care about owners complaints they gonna lose money this year, That part of the risk in ownership, you reap the rewards when things are good but you also take the risk, that isn’t on the labor force nor should be their problem or concern, unless there some kind of profit sharing/stock options im not aware of? Let’s be real about this owners losing money every game they play without fans this year narrative. maybe that true short term but the value of their teams continues to go up so whatever hit they may take this year will be made up in their equity right?
Regardless who to blame (again I say both but think owners hold greater share). They both better figure out they all losing much more if they go 18 months without playing! Players can kiss those huge contracts goodbye for at least the short term future if not forever! Owners can forget about their franchises values continuing to increase! Whatever hits either side thinks so unbearable by playing this season will be nothing compared to what I fear will happen to mlb if they can’t get it figured out!
I wanna be optimistic and say both sides have to realize this and figure it out, unfortunately they have proven in the past that might not be the case, or they just don’t care about the greater good! You think they get it figured out soon and get to playing? I wasn’t optimistic at all but last 2 days I’ve heard some insider sources say they were getting close to a deal. I can’t stand not having bases to cap!

I fell in love with Steve Nash (no, not like that) when I first saw him do that penetrating dribble move of his under the basket.
Like a hockey player with the wrap around behind the net, no point guard did that better than Nash.
Never liked Nash, probably not all his fault. A great deal my dislike of him is just the fact I feel he was incredibly overrated, I’ll never buy for a second that guy should have won 2 mvp awards ahead of Kobe!
