trapped in self-defeating pathologies such as a RAMPANT illegitimate birth rate (absent,
deadbeat fathers) and refusal to take advantage of educational opportunities.

Thanks guys... things are getting a bit antsy now where I live with two schools being closed today and 40,000 plus expected at a rally tomorrow (obviously with no social distancing). Opti's state went to the Supreme Court yesterday to get permission to start arresting people en masse for violating social distancing rules and my state is just going with full on police force which will be a bloody shitshow tomorrow.

They've even had to close parks again here for the next 4 weeks because for the past two weeks people have been like woohooooo we're allowed out, let's go join 30,000 others at popular tourist spots on the weekend. I'm so scared we're going to be locked down again and then I see what's happening in the US and wonder if this is supposed to be some life lesson for us all as this surely is too much for us average people to take.


The US was sending over heaps of money to Australia only a few months ago because people were dying due to fires and floods and lost their homes and livelihoods... now we're all in the shithouse yet again. Before the middle of the year ffs!!!

I'd rather bet on Luke Walton being inducted into the HOF than us having normal sports for the next year and a half.

I've always operated with the mindset of a PT thread, albeit non-sports related, stays in PT from that morning until I log off at night if people are engaging with it and then it gets shifted to the Saloon. During this wacked out time if we'd gone with that we really wouldn't have many threads at all in PT and would've had to deal with that many more people whinging about their threads being moved so I shifted and now go with: Seaweed's threads all get binned, Lakerboy's bitching about how shit we are as SBR employees is debatable and I'll leave them for a bit as I like the guy but another staff member usually shifts them before I even get a chance and now all other Trump, Floyd, really blatant non-sport stuff is getting moved either to Politics or to the Saloon. Sometimes before I even log on and that's cool too!

Everyone needs to remember that JJ works here so reporting him, bitching about him, etc isn't really going to go anywhere. I've given him infractions in the past just as a way of telling him privately to rein it in but he isn't being sacked nor are his standards of behaviour similar to the rest of ours as posters. That's just the way it is and as a private company that's totally acceptable so please no more complaints if possible.

We don’t need prayers... we need people here to get a grip and realise just because another crisis comes along it doesn’t mean we forget about the several ones we had before.
