Samantha Shader: Schrader Catskill Woman charged with attempted murder of 4 NYPD cops NY protests A woman from upstate New York is accused of throwing a lit Molotov cocktail at an NYPD vehicle during a protest Friday night, setting it ablaze with four officers inside, according to police. Samantha Shader, 27, threw the Molotov cocktail at the rear window of the van while it was parked at the corner of Eastern Parkway and Washington Avenue, near Prospect Park, around 10:40 p.m. according to the NYPD. The officers were able to quickly get out of the vehicle before it became engulfed in flames, police said. Samantha Shader is a Brooklyn Woman who has been Charged with Attempted murder of NYPD cops after hurling a Molotov cocktail into a marked, occupied police van. The incident ocuuered during the ongoing protest in Brooklyn which are influenced by the death of George Floyd. She is 26 years old. Shader’s younger sister, Darian, 21, tried to interfere but was taken into custody, she was charged with resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration. When asked about her daughters, Amy who is their mom said that she had no comment to say. the two sisters have a history of police clashes during protests. Samantha was arrested and charged four counts of attempted murder of a police officer, attempted arson, assault on a cop, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment. Samantha hurled a Molotov cocktail into a marked, occupied police van in Brooklyn. According to the police, the device did not ignite and that all the four police officers came out of the van safely.
