It might get worse. The White House, through the amazing Dr. Brix, is going full bore on the CDC to stem the tide of all the nasty numbers they report on the pandemic. Already Johns Hopkins University's Covid 19 dashboard pretty much ignores the CDC's daily numbers, relying on more "reliable" sources. The CDC - already an incredible disappointment - is on track to becoming a "reopening" propaganda tool, and the U.S. becoming - like China and Russia - a virtual fountain of bullshit.

thats an even weaker logical fallacy a base rate fallacy. youd think thousands of lawsuits would have been filed after 9/11 from thousands of families and family members and friends of those and on and on, but there is a reason that didnt happen, reality isnt based on the sleight of hand youre presented with

I’m afraid “cooking the books” on Covid 19 cases is far easier than you think. In Dagestan, Russia, where pneumonia became, overnight, the leading cause of death, curiously none were tested for the Coronavirus. Given that Russia boasts the best testing rate, per capita, in the world, the number of Covid 19 deaths is so low they’re fast-becoming a Coronavirus Paradise. Obviously, the Russian propaganda machine needs some tweaks, but they could become a model for the U.S. to follow if the White House has its way; having the CDC dispense with the “traditional” protocols for reporting infections and deaths, which may be fine for the full range of other malignant diseases, but not, apparently, for Covid 19. Whether CDC Director Redfield digs in his heals against reporting “modernization”, or retakes the Trump loyalty oath, he’s easily replaced, and the CDC is poised to become a valuable propaganda weapon in the war for “reopening”.

I have an acquaintance who’s father was in this situation and diagnosed with “covid-19” but he complained because he isn’t stupid and that diagnosis was magically lifted although probably not before a check was cut
