With the onset of KUNG FLU, and being told to stay home, we are all finding time to do more shit around the house. Wife and I are having more, often better, sex than before this pandemic closed everything down.
Another silver lining is getting to watch certain series on Showtime, hbo, netflix, etc., that I'd never otherwise have the time to watch in a million years.
And they're actually pretty damn good. A series called "Ray Donovan" on showtime fits such a bill..... Wife and I binge watched it til the early morning hours a few times while mixing in some fun ourselves in between episodes..... those 3 minute gaps came in handy several times.....
but, of all the things I saw in Ray Donovan, it is his dad's line (played by Jon Voight) below that by far stands out the most. To set the scene, the dad is a career criminal/bank robber quasi mobster type, who is attending a meeting of ex altar boys who were molested by catholic priests. One of the dad's sons was molested by a priest, so the dad, although not keen on going, agrees to attend the support meeting to do just that, support his son.
some other ex pedo victim is telling his story (kinda like a.a., where the victims let it out).... this is what unfolds:
needless to say, after this episode, and several times since, I have used the line in a quasi-joking manner.....
