I kind of like these updates darrell. You seem like a regular Joe and you're giving the perspective of what a regular Joe is going through. Millions upon millions are going through the same. You're not saying anybody is right or wrong, just what the consequences of all this crap is to one man. Seems that 75% of the SBR forum are near-millionaires (they claim) but I enjoy the 'man on the street' perspective.

      Thanks. I'll keep updating.

Most everybody I worked with has gotten their unemployment.
Those that haven't, are now officially into are system and waiting for their cards

I just filed my weekly claim for unemployment as it just passed into the midnight hour on Sunday of the upcoming week.
So, I got that out of the way, quickly.

Pleasant week for me. Wednesday, I got $600 on top of my normal unemployment.
Then Saturday, had an extra $600 on my unemployment card. Many of us got that here in Nevada.
Didn't get the federal 1200 yet, however. No big deal,I'm good anyways.

Still know people that haven't got a red cent. They're angry, since they're watching some of us get this extra money when they're not gettikng anything.
Already helping a buddy out, I'd hate to have to help more people out with funds, but I'll do it if they can't get their unemployment.

Looks like Nevada is gonna be a little bit slower to open up. Governor spoke today and has a plan, but it looks like they haven't finalized anything. Looks like they're going over details on how to open up. Bars are not going to open up-but not sure if that means bar/restaurants stay closed.

Schools are officially canceled for the year.

My co-workers and I seem to be getting unemployment, steadily, so we will be okay.

I have some friends who live in England. They call a vacation a “holiday”.

I think you might be coming down to hard on the guy.

                    Getting exercise.
I ride a bicycle, mostly, on the trails in the Summerlin part of town. Which is on the far west side of the city(Red Rock casino).
Noticing more people getting out this weekend-parks, tennis courts, bike trails, joggers.
Weather is warming up. Weather feels great, but here we are in a pandemic.

                    My unemployment is steady.
                    Things are good for me.

Many here in Nevada, still not getting unemployment.
The Governor did add staffing to the unemployment department, yet, some of my friends and co-workers still haven't got anything.
Nobody is going hungry, within the people I know. Since we all come from restaurants, we look out for each other.
Moratorium on bills including rent/mortgage, so nobody is getting thrown out on the streets. Electricity stays on. We should be fine.

I still haven't got the stimulus check. But, I'm good with the unemployment.
I logged in to the IRS, last week, said I was going to get paid last Wednesday. Didnt come in.
Logged in today, said I'm going to get paid Friday-maybe I do, maybe I dont.

Last Monday, I had a video doctors appointment with my VA doctor(bad foot).
So, he put in an order for me to go to the VA hospital to get x-rays. I went in last Tuesday to get it done.
Literally, fastest in and out time I ever had at the VA(less than 5 minutes). Because the place was almost empty. That place was not overrun with the Covid, that's for sure.

Other than that, nothing much here. Pretty chill.
None of my friends and co-workers haven't heard anything about going back to work, yet, from our bosses. So we continue to wait.

Casinos are not open, so dont come to Vegas yet.

Several of my friends and co-workers are getting recalled, I just haven't gotten the call yet.

                        Social distancing rules, 25-50% occupancy.
                        More details next week.

One of my friends works in a fine dining restaurant in Tivoli village in Summerlin. They have gotten over 300 reservations.

I guess we will see how this works out.

I see you say friends and coworkers getting recalled, any of them work in the casinos?

Wasn’t sure if you’re in a restaurant and bar outside of a casino.

I’m expecting about a two week lead time between when casino workers are recalled and when they might open...per Grits and others that have been in the industry.

Nevada requires casinos to submit their plan to follow the Nevada guidelines seven days before opening.

Are we near Darrell, with casinos opening?

                          Any word?

                            Casinos are closed
The Only Exception is Southpoint is allowing you to deposit into your Sportsbook account. But they expect you to drive up there and wait in the car, as they come out to you.

I'd say about 2 more weeks till the casinos open. If they do, their will probably be some type of social distancing guidelines.

If Las Vegas does it sensibly all should be fine.
                                  Small steps is the key.

Thought you knew about this, yes there will be social distancing guidelines. I doubt any casinos open up in the next two weeks. A week ago the gaming commission put out an eight page report outlining what large casinos have to do, and a four page one for the smaller houses, and the casinos are required to submit how they’re going to follow the guidelines seven days before they open.

I doubt any large casino has submitted any kind of plan yet. Governor had said casinos open later, in later phases of reopening.

My question to you was whether or not you knew of anybody who directly worked in a casino, whether in hospitality, gaming, restaurants etc. that has been recalled.

That will be the true sign, but the actual opening of big houses might not happen for many many weeks.

I don't see how businesses that are "leveraged" very much will make it. I think it will also be a pretty slow ramp up on business, unless by some miracle the virus disappears. A bunch of businesses cannot really make it on 50% of what they did before. I think they have to re-open things or we may be facing a multi year decline.
