Hanks probably doesn't have the virus, but the sheep need a major "dark star" to have the virus so they will panic. The virus is real, but they orchestrate "dark stars" to have the virus and then the sheep will fall in line with panic. This will lead to the vaccine coming as a few other mentioned in these forums.
There might be some other nefarious situation here that they will use the virus to implement. Cashless society, global government, take the guns with UN or even US military under martial law. Just beware of the crisis being used for other theaters....
