it is getting over the top. we had/have the flu and none of these precautions. has to be some logic presented as opposed to just hysteria.

Do they think people aren't going to get together and watch the games? This will just make sports bars more crowded. Doesn't seem like a reasonable reaction to me. It's a new virus. People are gonna get it. The answer isn't to try and shut the whole world down.

Bad way of thinking and very selfish.. Vast majority of us are going to be infected, vast majority of infected will live (99.3 %). Why become infected and clog the medical system for those who need it Unnecessarily? Will be the first time in my adult life 15 years I will miss Vegas and March madness.. It sucks, I know I will be ok..But why take the chance to spread it to someone who might not be ok? Over basketball...

Small gathering should be stopped and will be stopped.. Only Essential travel from the home should be allowed. Police fire healthcare workers and so on.. Saying that just saw study where corona stays airborne for 3 hrs.. Shit is about to get real quick

I don't know if you are wrong or right. In my opinion it's a mistake. When you are talking about stopping small gatherings you are talking about crippling our economy. That has repercussions too.

I wasn't an economics major but I don't think the economy works like that. You can't just shut it down and restart it at will.
The economy shutting down worries me a hell of a lot more than corona virus.

We are a service based economy... It will crash.. It will bounce back.. How it works.. employment loss will be because of lack of demand not because of lack of capital.. That matters greatly..

it will recover but it will put a lot of people on their heels near retirement if they are not prepared besides just causing people to lose money. people play stocks like we bet sports as we all know.

The old people pay either way. But governments and institutions act like they care, so it hurts most of us on the basis of some 80+ year old they force us to pay for, to live, anyway.
