Heath Ledger probably the best actor of my time. Too bad his life was cut short. I even heard "hearsay" that playing the Joker really messed up his psyche. Yes, he played it better than Phoenix. Phoenix held his own for sure though. I won't take anything away from him.

The movie was just okay to me. Sort of like meh or heh. I much preferred the train murders as my favorite part.

i didn't really enjoy the movie , very slow not enough action, not gonna say phoenix isn't a great actor and that movie was more about becoming the joker, i thought the heath ledger movie was just more entertaining

I agree Legder's joker (and movie) was more entertaining. Phoenix's joker was amazing as well but totally different approach. Could easily be a stand alone movie about mental health without any comic-verse ties. That being said, I have no knowledge whatsoever on the DC universe to have an opinion of how both movies connected with it etc. Great films.
