I actually asked a local guy I met at a sports bar few years ago, who some people were using, if his juice are reduced. His rude reply was "you want reduced juice because you're a cheap small timer, use that offshore bullshit." And that's exactly what I did. When I first started he was giving me 5 1/2 - 6 1/2.
Then after asking (nicely) he was giving me -130 +120

GL guys--- I have known "my local since 1969 " his brother since 64-- always wanted too be a bookie. Nearly every week he would call and ask for cash-help -or advice. not only did i beat his ass, another punk pulled a 9 mm on me in my parking garage, missed me at damn near point blank range, and then ran from my unarmed ass after I got a tire iron out of the back of my suv and chased after him.... after he blew a hole through my jeans that grazed me, he started shaking uncontrollably as I told him to put the fukkin' gun down so we could settle it mano-to-mano, and began to run away..... he ran smack dab into the cops exiting the back of my building, who, upon seeing he was being chased, took him down and prepared to encounter whoever was chasing the prick, figuring he must be armed to be running after an armed man..... I had five-six cop lazer sights trained on me as I approached and they told me to both freeze and hit the ground..... knew I was about to be shot, but fortunately the jittery lazer sights weren't followed by gunfire.....

Locals may, or may not receive backing from Mob sources, but all they are is a bunch of "Rocky Balboa's" who accept wagers and rough up people who do not pay. With all of the sportsbooks available to the public now, the Mob really is not that interested in gaming. They have much bigger fish to fry, like many legitimate businesses, especially ones in construction, longshoremen, and other legitimate interests.
