I'm all for clean air and oceans not rising from Ice melt down!!! The Facts though -

Hurricane activity has not increased or decreased over the past 100 years in intensity.. GOOGLE IT..

Oceans have not rised either.. I've been going to the same beach for 40 years since I can remember and the sand length have not shrunk from PCH at all. The beaches are not thinner today from 40 years ago on the Pacific coast.. Ocean front houses are not disappearing into the ocean!! Florida is at sea level and still exists today, no shrinkage there either..

Lastly I do think over population will be harming the earth one day, the air can and does become more nasty, sun is a bit more intense today then I remember as a kid..

So you wanna stop Global Warming STOP HAVING BABIES and over populating.. Why won't our political leaders even mention the root cause? People pollute.

I’m not a climate change type of person, the weather is the weather. However I do believe the world could do something about the plastic problem. I realize it’s probably to late to change everything plastic but it doesn’t seem that unreasonable to do away with plastic bags, it’s absurd how many they give you at the grocery store, instead of 10 plastic bags it would all fit in two paper bags. Granted it’s a small part of the problem but it seems like a easy fix,JMO

I agree with the OP the main problem is over population. The globe will be fine but if human kind keeps breeding like rabbits on Viagra, mother nature will need to step in with a particularly nasty disease or something to put things back in balance. I suggest that we make abortion frequent, cheap, and very accessible because lets face it the best part about kids is trying to conceive multiple times a day, with multiple positions, and if you can get away with it, multiple partners. Keep in mind however this is the one area where failure is actually success.

Climate change is another vehicle in which politicians will use to rip off taxpayers. Diesel farm equipment will be running non stop to feed billions of people. If fossil fuel consumption goes down a lot so will the population (starvation) They don't want to talk about over population. Because, that would be detrimental to world stock markets that will crash if populations go down.

Been warming since the ice age 10,000 years ago. It warms, and it cools....then it warms, then it cools....then it does it again.

Mankind hasn't been around long enough to have any impact on this. One volcano emits more pollution than all of mankind's history.

One earthquake or flood undoes a generation of humans work in that area. One ice age can wipe out damn near our entire population.

The notion that money, a tax or a law can effect the temperature of the Earth, the radiation of the sun or the amount of hurricanes or volcanoes we see is absurd.
