TX Shooter Was a Sheriff’s Detective Who Was Out on Bail for Child Rape

Austin, TX — On Sunday, “Austin” began trending on Twitter as a gunman shot three people to death in the state’s capital. A shelter in place order was issued for the city’s northwest suburbs and the city went on alert over fears the gunman may take a hostage.

“The cops had their guns out,” Josh Katzowitz, who had been shopping at the nearby Trader Joe’s on Sunday, told the Houston Chronicle. “Some had pistols, some had rifles and they were strapping on bulletproof vests. There were all of a sudden ambulances, sirens and police cars. There were cops coming from everywhere.”

Around 5 p.m. Sunday evening, Interim Austin Police Chief Joseph Chacon lifted the order and said police had identified the shooter, and noted that he was dangerous but not targeting random people. Two of those killed, according to reports, had been students at Elgin High School — Willie Simmons III and Alyssa Broderick, while the third victim is believed to be the shooter’s mother.

“We do not think this individual is out there targeting random people to shoot them,” Chacon said. “That does not mean he is not dangerous. We do think that he is armed and he is very much dangerous.”

Monday morning, after a 20-hour manhunt, police arrested the alleged shooter after someone spotted him and called 911. He was identified as 41-year-old Stephen Nicholas Broderick.

“I’m especially grateful to the vigilant citizen who called 911 after seeing Broderick, and to the Manor PD officers and TCSO deputies who took him into custody this morning,” Travis County Sheriff Sally Hernandez said in a statement.

Broderick was armed at the time of his arrest but was brought in without firing any shots. One possible reason he was brought in without incident could be the fact that Broderick, himself, was a cop.

Sheriff Hernandez knows exactly who Broderick is, as he was employed at her department as a Travis County Sheriff’s detective. However, he was allowed to quietly resign in June after his arrest for child rape.

“I’m truly heartbroken that a former Travis County Sheriff’s Office Deputy is the suspect in such a horrific incident,” Sheriff Hernandez added. “TCSO is standing by to provide any, and all assistance we can to the families of the victims in their time of need.

“I’m proud of the integrity and professionalism shown by the men and women of TCSO, APD and other law enforcement agencies, who worked tirelessly throughout the night to locate Stephen Broderick.”

Tragically, it appears that this incident might have been avoidable had the accused child rapist received a higher bail amount. As the Houston Chronicle reports, Broderick was released from custody in June after posting $50,000 bail, the district attorney’s office said.

This case illustrates several points. One of them is the tendency of law enforcement to engage in domestic violence. This cop is accused of killing his own mother — a peak act of domestic violence.

Another point illustrated by this case is the level of child rape which takes place within the ranks of police departments. It also highlights the often-low bail amounts and special privilege given to police officers after they have been caught preying on society’s most vulnerable.

The third point that this illustrates is one of gun control. As the anti-gun crowd pushes to disarm law-abiding gun owners — instead of examining the reason behind the violence — this incident shows us that even if cops were the only ones with guns, mass shootings can and will still take place.

Another POS pig who thinks he is above the law and shouldn’t be held accountable for his illegal actions solely because he wears the costume and badge. I'm guessing his "because I'm a police officer" excuse had worked flawlessly until this day.

“…but you’ve been drinking, dude, and you were driving,” said the cop doing his job.
“Yeah, but I’m also a police officer,” said the drunk pig looking for some of that magical blue line privilege.

Cops Raise $73K for K-9’s Medical Bills And Conveniently Left Out the Fact They Shot Him

Thurston County, WA — “Police K9 – and Tik Tok star – gets lifesaving surgery at OSU after he was shot twice” reads the headline on KATU after a police K-9 officer ‘Arlo’ was shot in the line of duty. Similar headlines ran across other news outlets as the department asked for help paying for Arlo’s surgery bills.

The article reported that “the dog was shot twice while on the job and immediately transported to emergency care. That’s when they realized his injuries were very serious and he needed to be transferred to OSU.”

Several officers with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office were quoted in the article saying how awesome Arlo is, photos were shared, and heart strings pulled all in an attempt to garner support for the K-9 officer who’d been shot in the line of duty.

Q13 Fox reported, “last week during a pursuit, the sheriff’s office said a suspect “exchanged gunfire” with officers, injuring the suspect and K-9 Arlo on scene. Arlo was shot twice, but he has since recovered.”

“Right now a police dog and an armed driver are in the hospital after a police chase and shooting overnight in Thurston County,” KOMO News reported.

Arlo’s story made national headlines and millions of tik tokers viewed videos of his recovery and he received an outpouring of support, raising over $73,000 in a GoFundMe drive. Arlo was even made into stickers and t-shirts with the hashtag #arlostrong.

Nowhere in any of the articles, however, did it state who shot Arlo. As the Intercept reports:

"On January 27, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, which led an investigation into officers’ use of force in the shooting, notified the public that Arlo had been shot by friendly fire. But it wasn’t until weeks later that local outlets like The Olympian, a paper based in Olympia, reported on what had actually happened.

By that point, Arlo’s story had taken on a life of its own. The Thurston County Deputy Sheriff’s Foundation organized a GoFundMe page and raised more than $73,000 for Arlo’s medical bills. Arlo grew his social media following on TikTok to 2.5 million, and on Instagram to 130,000. Arlo’s handler, a deputy with the sheriff’s office, together with another K-9 handler and ex-cop started a website called “VARLO Nation,” a business for law enforcement officers and others to “buy affordable quality equipment.” No such efforts were made to support the recovery of the suspect, who was hospitalized after being shot at least three times by police and later told a nurse he was contemplating suicide. He was released from the hospital in late January and booked into the Thurston County jail."

Naturally, police are claiming that they did not mislead the public to raise the $73,000 and loads of other funds through the sale of stickers and shirts.

“To the best of my knowledge we did not make any statements that the dog was shot by the suspect or was shot by the officers until we were very comfortable,” Jason Dracolby, chief criminal deputy of investigations at Mason County Sheriff’s Office, told The Intercept.

Apparently, “very comfortable” means two months down the road and nearly six figures in income for a dog the cops shot. The deputy also failed to answer questions as to why all the media outlets ran stories — with information given to them by police — that the suspect shot the dog and that there was an “exchange of gunfire” when no gunfire was exchanged at all. What’s more, the deputy didn’t address the fact that Arlo’s own handler took to social media — in a now deleted post — to state that Arlo had been shot by a suspect.

According to the facts of the matter, as properly reported by the Olympian, the only people to fire any rounds off that day were the cops. What’s more, the suspect was brought down by the gunfire before Arlo ever reached him — meaning cops recklessly kept shooting at the man, hitting their dog in the process.

As the Olympian reports, investigators did not find a shell casing from Oritz Bucio’s handgun at the scene and the gun itself did not contain any bullets.

“(The nurse) told Victor (the suspect) that it was her understanding that he had been shot by law enforcement after he shot a dog,” the report read. “She said that Victor shook his head and signaled that he wanted to write something else. … Victor wrote, ‘No bullets in the gun I.’”

He later told investigators at the hospital that his gun was not functional, and he was unaware the dog had been shot, according to the report.

As of the writing of this article, there has been no update to the GoFundMe account and only a single sentence in a quietly released press statement state that Arlo was shot by his own officers while they were shooting a man who had already fallen to the ground.

It took 2 years, but this pig finally was charged for his criminal actions. Any other person, who isn't a pig, would have been charged and arrested on the spot, but not blue line gang members. They incorrectly believe that they are special and above the law that regular people are forced to abide by. This pig claimed to have acted in self defense, but one view of the dashcam video shows this was just another big pig lie. Another proud moment for the blue line gang, their families and bootlickers everywhere.

The pigs and their corrupt union are against a bill that would better hold criminals wearing costumes and badges accountable. The union reps' objections consist of BS pig rhetoric and single instance anecdotal stories. Not too convincing.

"This is about me wanting to know who you are," says the oath breaker attempting to violate the 4th Amendment of two photographers who were on a public sidewalk committing no crime. A few more of his fellow blue line thugs show up and idiotically copsplain their belief that people with cameras walking on a public sidewalk are suspicious. Before leaving the photographers provide the pigs with some remedial training of what their oath, scope of authority and the law entails. Once again, regular citizens know the law better than these professionally trained dimwits.

Fresno, CA — As TFTP reported at the time, an utterly disturbing video was released showing a Fresno police officer shoot and kill an unarmed 16-year-old boy, Isiah Murrietta-Golding as he ran away. Because the entire system is set up in a way to protect killer cops — even ones who murder unarmed children as they run away — the family of the boy had to sue because the cop was never held accountable. This month, the family received the largest settlement in the history of Fresno.

“This tragic shooting of a child was totally unnecessary and sickening to anyone who saw the video. The city of Fresno did the right thing by paying Isiah’s parents the largest settlement in Fresno’s history,” Michael Haddad, an attorney for Murrietta-Golding’s family, told ABC station KFSN-TV in Fresno.

The video was released by KFSN in October 2019 and it is nothing short of horrifying. The incident unfolded in April of 2017 when police stopped Murrietta-Golding for questioning.

As the video shows, Murrietta originally complies with the officer’s orders to back up toward him.

“Backwards,” you can hear officer Ray Villalvazo order him in body camera footage. “Towards my voice. Down on your knees.”

At this moment, for some unknown reason, Murrietta made the decision to run. We will never know why he ran, however, because the officer made sure he will never talk again when he put a bullet in the boy’s head.

Murrietta runs out of view of the officer’s body camera as he jumps a fence. However, surveillance footage from the day care facility in which he ran picks up where the body camera leaves off. As the video shows, Murrietta is running through the yard when Villalvazo takes aim and murders him.

“From the video, the officer just comes up, crouches down, and shoots,” legal analyst Tony Capozzi, told KFSN.

“Sgt. Villalvazo fired a single shot, which tore through Isiah’s occipital lobe,” the lawsuit says.

After Villalvazo murdered the unarmed boy, in a disgusting move, a fellow officer then praised him for it.

“Good shot,” the officer says to his fellow cop who just murdered a child.

Police would justify their actions that day by claiming they believed Murrietta was armed. Officers claimed that as the boy ran from them, they “feared for their lives” because he reached for his waistband several times. Despite being entirely unarmed, police would go on to claim that a teenage boy, running away, did not deserve to live because his hands approached his midsection as he tried to get away from the police.

Former Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said back in March 2018 that an internal police investigation determined that “Sgt. Villalvazo’s actions were within department policy,” because Murrietta “reached into his waistband several times,” including when he looked back at Sgt. Villalvazo the moment just before he was shot.

“Fearing he was about to be shot, Sgt. Villalvazo fired one round, striking Murrietta-Golding,” Dyer said.

“There absolutely is no way the officer’s life was in danger,” said the family’s attorney. “He was running away and he was trying to hold up his pants.

“And for the chief to make a comment that it was justified to shoot Isiah because he was considered a possible suspect, it’s not the place of the police to make that determination and without a trial.

“You can’t do that in America.”

Sadly, as this case illustrates, you can.

What’s more, according to the family’s attorney, police didn’t even have a warrant for Murrietta’s arrest that day. They simply believed he was a suspect in a crime and they wanted to question him. We will never know if Murrietta ever committed that crime because Villalvazo played the role of judge, jury, and, of course, executioner.

“Isiah and his brother were considered possible or probable suspects,” Chandler said. “There was not a warrant for their arrest. There was no conduct by Isiah that day to ever show that he had a gun – because, of course, he didn’t.”

There’s no way that police officer was in fear of his life,” legal analyst Tony Capozzi said. “That’s a justification for the shooting he committed here. Frankly, the killing he did in this particular case. There was no reason for him to shoot that gun. None whatsoever. It makes me angry just to look at this videotape.”

Despite the clear video showing this public servant shoot a boy in the head as he ran away, the murder was ruled justified and officer Villalvazo faced zero discipline. Had a civilian shot a fleeing teen in the same manner — even if that teen was armed — rest assured that they would be charged with murder, as they should be. But the killer in this instance had a badge which grants him magical immunity when killing unarmed teenage boys.

This video is almost identical to the video of officer Michael Slager killing Walter Scott. In that case, Scott ran from officer Slager just like Murrietta ran from Villalvazo. Slager opened fire on the unarmed fleeing man and murdered him just like officer Villalvazo did to Murrietta. Just like Scott’s murder, Murrietta’s murder was captured on video.

However, unlike Ray Villalvazo, Michael Slager was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder of Walter Scott.

It is a travesty of all that is just that Villalvazo killed someone’s unarmed child on video, as he ran away, and will not face so much as a slap on the wrist. This is what we call “justice” in the land of the free.
