Former Arlington police officer Ravi Singh was indicted on criminal negligent homicide charges.

A Texas cop who shot and killed a woman while trying to kill her dog was indicted on criminal negligent homicide charges, prosecutors announced Wednesday.

Ravi Singh, who was an Arlington police officer when he shot and killed Margarita "Maggie" Brooks on August 1, 2019, resigned in November.

100% agreed what if it had been a 5lb chihuahua mix rushing the officer would everyone have the same opinion? Cops need to be held responsible for things like this a 40lb lab mix shouldn't scare anyone enough to start firing bullets.

If its a violent offender suspected of murder, or assault, and they run away.....and you can't catch them or think they are armed and dangerous.....okay maybe you shoot them in the back. If they didn't pay their parking ticket, and they turn their back and walk or run away or they parked their car in a park and turn and run. Non-violent no way you shoot someone in the back. This sh*t has gotten out of control.

It all comes down to using discretion in the situation, but again they are trained in Israel or with Israel tactics. Which means knees on your neck and you can't breathe. It means shoot first and eliminate any threat. You feel that guy with his back turned to you is threatening your life....shoot him.

Like I said, stop with the \*\*\*\*\*\* sh*t pretending all this sh*t is always okay no matter what it is. I've always attempted to support Law Enforcement on this forum and in real life. It has its limits. Many of these are isolated incidents and I know many cops do use discretion and common sense. And many of them understand the situation at hand. Also, I understand they deal with shit on a daily basis so I get why they are trigger happy. No matter what, they have to think twice before pulling that gun out.
