No I paid a $1 a song off the apple store for years from time to time.. I want to pay for what I want by choice and not by force on monthly contracts. Big difference their pal.. $9 a month X 12 months is a $108 a year. I don't want to pay that if I don't have to.

I can go 6 months at times and not download a single song. Then one month I can download 20 songs.. That's how I roll.. Gotta be in the mood.

From what I read it's getting replaced with a new app, 3 new apps. You can still buy music and sync your ipod. I'm the same way Jib, sometimes I go months without any new songs and then buy a few albums and 20 individual songs.

what if i want to buy one song a month? not necessarily every month but that's what it would average.,

my 300 favorite songs have been basically the same for the last 20 years. i don't feel like paying for them directly or indirectly again..

reminds me somewhat of new formats when you ended buying tons of albums you like again.... or even some of my mp3's were too old for recent apple products.

it does blow me how these companies are so focused on new revenues and don't seem to care about making existing customers happy. i would hope potential new customers would notice this.... OTOH, i guess there's some cutoff time that you can't expect them to actively support. i guess my time period and theirs varies.
