Like..... if some SBR member is logging in from California.... it would say something in that Chinese Language.... UCLA? Or USC or Southern California?

I think it's just a non English speaking Chinese person who sells fake University degrees who happens to own a new script tailored to this version of our forum software that lets them auto register/confirm/pick best SEO sub forum and throw a few posts. Not all of them get through. Probably hitting every similar version forum that shows up in google at random really.

We'll have an upgrade coming along soon that should help us catch them faster or stop it completely.

It would seem that the address is being sold to people that make $ doing link seeding. (putting site urls into forums to increase searchability by e.g. google)

SBR may have tried to taken a short cut and open themselves to a few devils.

it does seem like some staff is trying to take a harder line on moderating/editing swear words and racist comments that would appear and hurt their google ratings.


SBR prob just needs to spend a couple bucks on something like MaxMind's geoIP service or even just add a challenge question, captcha box or something for new sign ups. So we don't get bot proliferation

Cheap hotels in the hoods are all Chinese owned and all illegal Chinese workers are exploited their... Afraid to get a real job and in fear of deportation.
