I wouldn't describe the country as very cosmopolitan, its a 3rd world country after all. The larger cities in CR are probably considered cosmopolitan compared to the rural areas.

To be fair, I didn't believe this thread originally. Afterall, there was no SBR verification of the kidnapping at the time and 5D was denying it ever took place (see post #47). So what you and other Mods deemed disrespectful could just be posters sarcastically responding to a perceived hoax thread. Surely no one, myself included, wants any harm to come to 5D Tony.

Ridiculous.... Let us turn it around for a second. Why would anyone visit the US. There are mass shootings at schools, night clubs, concerts, outdoor festivals, terrorists blowing up buildings, all the time. Not sure I have ever read of an entire school being shot up in Costa Rica. The US has a much higher rate of gun violence then Costa Rica. What may shock you the most is the US has a higher Kidnapping rate then Costa Rica as well.
