#808I agree it is sad. I have a 5 dimes account and always have been satisfied with them. They have always been fair and I have always gotten great support. Tony said himself in an interview with SBR « Customer trust can only be earned by making sure they are treated fairly and paid in an efficient manner 100% of the time. ». Therefore I give him credit for the success of 5 Dimes and I believe he was a good guy.Comment -

#818I agree he had a lot of innovations. I love the betting contest where you can win money if you predict correctly the result of a game 5 days in a row. Surprised no other book copied that.Comment -

SBR is many things but we're not trash so there's no reason for anyone to treat a deceased person like a piece of rubbish. Many places to do that elsewhere with like-minded people.Comment -

#827I was just searching this a few days ago and found nothing, I figured something would come up nearing the 1 year anniversary. It’s shocking to me that Tony was murdered over bitcoin and it’s supposed anonymity. And the person that orchestrated the kidnaping didn’t know bitcoin transactions and wallets could be traced. The wallet the ransom was paid to was traced to a “computer engineer” by the last name of Morales Vega. I had a few conversations with Tony over the years (some very heated and others very productive) and I remember he initially did not accept the idea behind bitcoin, he called it fantasy money or something along those lines. Of course he came around to idea of bitcoins but it blows my mind it led to his demise. https://lcb.org/news/three-suspects-...spanish-police

#828Welcome to life in a 3rd world country. This goes on all of the time. General. it is not your choice to accept or refuse. There is NOTHING you can do about it. Newton has it right: "How have the CR feds not seized the book making operations looking for answers...... oh wait they not looking for answers" Exactly. Tony was not the first guy involved in off shore wagering to be offed in Costa Rica and he will not be the last.Comment -

#833I love visiting Costa Rica and thought about retiring there, but the fact the cops were involved is scary stuff.
Dominican Republic has been hit hard in tourism, the gambling scene is changing quick in US. They need to get more info out there, the sportsbooks hire thousands and bring millions to the Costa Rican economy. The US is close to 75% of the world market for online gambling., this is really disturbing.Comment -

#834Exactly and anyone making a joke about it needs to take a hard look at themselves. Most of us are merely names on a screen to each other but even I wouldn't trash someone who has passed on even if they disparaged me in life.
SBR is many things but we're not trash so there's no reason for anyone to treat a deceased person like a piece of rubbish. Many places to do that elsewhere with like-minded people.
Perhaps that's where you're getting the backlash.Comment -
